The entrance to the Rolling Rock Club, a private club founded by the Mellon family of Pittsburgh in 1917.
Today, the Club is owned by golf legend Arnold Palmer, from nearby Latrobe, and includes members such as hockey great Mario Lemieux.
An old gas station in Laughlintown, probably once an Esso station.
The photos in the album trace the route from West to East across the state.
These cabins were from the old Colonial Inn, formerly Sunnybrook Park. They are now used by a family as storage sheds.
This lake is opposite the colonial Inn cabins and usually hosts families of Canadian geese year round.
The Shirey Motel, located at the plateau above the Loyalhanna Gorge. There used to be rental cabins here, as well.
This 6-room motel is now closed, like many of the old motels in the area.
From this angle, you can see both the Shirey's Motel on the left and the little speck of white behind the pine trees that is the remaining cabin.
