The Lincoln Hig…
The Lincoln Highway
PA's section of the Highway - the nation's first cross-country highway
The old art deco style Gulf station in downtown Bedford.
Once used as a promotional tool by Gulf Oil on the Highway, this is either the last or next to last station of this type.
It exemplifies the type of unique architecture once found on the nation's highways.
Welcome to Breezewood - the Town of Motels!
At night, the town glows with thousands of neon signs.
In the distance, you can see the old Lincoln Highway crossing the mountain at the highest point, while the PA Turnpike crosses the same mountain farther down.
Breezwood is also noted for being the instersection of several major highways, including US 30, I-79 and the PA Turnpike.
One of the town's original motels, now overshadowned by chain motels.
