This sign sits in the middle of the Westmoreland Mall in Greensburg. Today, the mall sits on a campsite once used by the founders of the automotive industry as they planned the first transcontinental road.
The sign gives a brief history of the Lincoln Highway's formation as well as the challenges faced trying to cross this area of the country.
A close up of the photo shows the members of the original group, including Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, and Harvey Firestone.
Signs like these mark the path of the old Lincoln Highway. This one is located in Latrobe at the Arnold Palmer Regional Airport
The former Sunset Valley Cottages which are rented year round. Most tourist cabins have found a second life as private homes or motel rooms.
