The Lincoln Highway
PA's section of the Highway - the nation's first cross-country highway
Looking from Grand View Point, you can see Shawnee Lake and State Park in the distance on the left.
It's said that from Grandview Point you can see 3 states and 7 counties on a clear day.
Some of the trees still remain charred from the fire, but they're slowly growing back.
The stone and rusted iron are all that remain from the once grand hotel that boasted guests ranging from George Burns to Clara Bow.
The stone pilar was originally a castle turret and then covered over with a wooden lighthouse when the hotel went from a castle to ship theme.
Even at this height, when you look back down the mountain you can see that you're still not quite at the top of the ridge.
Like most places in PA, mountaintops offer stunning views of the valley below.
The old gas station across the road from the ship. It served as a rest stop for cars that overheated from the moutain climb.
The Old Shot Factory. Only the concave stone portion is original. During the Revolutionary War, lead was dropped from the second floor to make cannon shot for the Revolution.
